Writing 121 - Vance

You have five minutes to post one tip for other writing 121 students about doing library research. Explain your tip as if you were talking to another student and you would like them to be able to use this idea right away. For example, don’t just write “subject searching is helpful” but explain why it can help you find relevant articles.

When your trying to do research for your paper or whatever information you need, try and be specific as to what you are really look for.

Order your results by relevance rather than publication date (unless publication date is important to you for whatever reason). It’s so much easier to find the best articles at the top of the results page rather than having to scroll down and look for them.
